It's going to be a rainy, windy Sunday. There is a brief lull in precipitation mid-morning before another round of showers after 10 a.m.
A few isolated thunderstorms are possible. No severe weather is expected, but it is going to be very windy across all of Michiana today after this front passes. Westerly wind will blow 20-25 mph this afternoon, but the real concern are wind gusts 40-50+ mph. There is a wind advisory in effect now through 7 p.m.
There is a lakeshore flood advisory in LaPorte County and a lakeshore flood warning for Berrien County. Lake Michigan waves could build to 12 – 16 feet this afternoon, and lakeshore flooding and erosion are expected.
It will stay windy even after the rain stops this afternoon. Tonight is still breezy, with wind gusts 25-30 mph. Wind calms a little by Monday afternoon.
While temperatures this morning start mild in the low 50s, it will cool throughout the day. This afternoon temperatures are in the low 40s.
Overnight temperatures continue to fall and reach a low around 30 degrees. You might see frost on your car Monday morning, so give yourself plenty of time to scrape that before heading into work. The rest of the work week looks like it will stay dry and warm up by Thursday and Friday.
