Rally for immigration reform held in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend residents rallied to convince our local leaders to vote in favor of immigration reform in Washington.

Leaders across the south bend community, including Mayor Pete Buttigieg attended the rally at the courthouse in South Bend Friday afternoon.

The immigration reform bill went to the Senate floor this week.

The bill aims at improving the immigration process, keeping families together and ensuring equal rights for them in the job field.

The message, even from the mayor, was that we were all immigrants at one point, so there's no reason why the immigration process shouldn't be easier for the millions trying to be legal citizens
