Red, White, and Blue Cornbread Day July 4 at Bonneyville Mill

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Feature Grain Day meets the 4th of July celebrations at Bonneyville Mill in Elkhart this weekend with Red, White, and Blue Cornbread Day with free samples available to the public.
"We’ve saved back some Blue and Red Popcorn Cornmeal and added it to our own White Corn Cornmeal (July Feature Grain) to make it a Red, White and Blue Cornbread Day," organizers say.
"Feature Grain Day means that we are grinding something unique. Join us July 4 to continue our feature grain day events highlighting unique grains for the 2025 grinding season."
Mill officials say White Corn is the feature grain this month.
"White Corn Cornmeal has a unique flavor and is great for making cornbread and muffins. All feature grain days in 2025 will highlight a grain that is not a normal part of our line-up," organizers said.
The resulting flour/meal will be a limited-edition product available for a short time.
Grinding demonstrations of White Corn will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and the event is free and open to all ages.
