PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police, like many agencies are struggling to attract new recruits.
In 2020 the 80th academy class had more than 1800 applicants.
In 2024 the 86th academy class had only 780 applicants.
Captain Ron Galaviz tells ABC57 News that the department is actively looking for new recruits and there is no better time than now.
