Rekindled fire destroys New Carlisle home

Firefighters were called to a house fire in New Carlisle twice in just a few hours Monday night and Tuesday morning. The house was destroyed in the rekindled fire.
Firefighters were called to the house in the 7500 block of SR2 around 10 p.m. Monday for a furnace fire.
Around 3 a.m., firefighters were called back to the home after the fire rekindled.
The home was a total loss.
There were no injuries.
