Rep. Upton to tour fruit crop damage in Southwestern Michigan

BERRIEN CO., Mich. -- On Wednesday, Congressman Fred Upton will get a first-hand look at local crop damage.

Spring frosts destroyed most of the fruit crops in Southwest Michigan, from grapes to cherries to apples.

Upton plans to tour Winkel's Farm in Watervliet.

Then, he will host a roundtable.

Right now, there is an effort underway to gett he region declared a federal disaster.
