SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A huge donation was made Friday, to a local non-profit, Resale to the Rescue, thanks to the Michiana Festival of Beers held last fall.
The annual craft beer sampling festival was held in October at four winds field!
Mega Homebrew for Humanity selected Resale to the Rescue to receive $15,000 raised from the festival.
ABC57 was there when they presented the check to the non-profit.
Jan Caudell, Founder of Resale to the Rescue, stated, "It will go directly to our animal rescue partners. We have helped 23 of them in the seven and a half years that we've been around, and we've given away almost $800,000, this will put us over the $800,000 mark."
Resale to the Rescue helps local animal welfare organizations financially.
Their goal is to help shelters to increase spay and neutering, increase adoption rates, and decrease shelter euthanasia.
