Researchers: Michigan tourism expected to rise

Tourism is a moneymaker for Michigan, especially during the summer.
Researchers think the state could reel is some much-needed extra cash over the next few months.
Michigan State researchers believe tourism spending could increase by 6 percent this year. The Memorial Day weekend is the start of the travel season for many families.
Tourism spending jumped 8 percent in 2011.
