WALKERTON, Ind -- The nation-wide worker shortage caused small-town Walker restaurant, Memo's House of Pancake to shut down.
After shutting down for a week with the shortage taking a toll on his staff count, owner Edgar Dominguez made sure that his restaurant would not be out of commission for long.
Memo's reopened today bringing the citizens of Walkerton out for hot plate at their favorite restaurant.
"In fact, I didn’t even think they were re-opened yet. I just happened to be driving by headed somewhere else, so the cars out front, pulled right in." said Walkerton resident Robert Russell.
This fan favorite was big deal to Edgar. He wanted to reopen the doors not only for his employees but for the Walkerton community.
"It was a struggle having to close down. It was sad to have taken that decision. It’s awesome, we got the opportunity to open back up. It’s a great feeling." said restaurant owner Edgar Dominguez.
