SOUTH BEND, Ind. --The Restorative Justice Collaborative Hub (the Hub) came together and celebrated their official ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday from 11 a.m. –1 p.m., at the Colfax Cultural Center. Attendees were able to tour the building, see the new space, and speak with people to learn more about what services they provide.

The Hub transforms how communities respond to harm by centering dignity, healing, and accountability.

Through restorative justice practices, education, and community relationship-building, the Hub supports pathways for repair that address the needs of survivors, strengthen individuals and communities, and create sustainable change.

Nicole Williams, a member of the board for Hub, says, "We exist to care for one another, because if one person in our community suffers, we all suffer with them. BUTTED We, the Restorative Justice Collaborative Hub, says every story matters, every voice matters. Restorative justice matters."

Earlier this year, the Hub received a $130,000 Accelerator Initiative Grant from the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction, which allowed the Hub to move into its first physical office space at the Colfax Cultural Center.

The space includes a new client office, an administrative office for staff, and an art studio for survivor support programs.

"In 2022, we officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we launched our services in 2024. And in the fall of 2025, we were awarded a $130,000 accelerator initiative grant through DMHA, allowing us to build our internal infrastructure, hire amazing staff members like Angela and Nia, and open up our first official home here at the Colfax Cultural Center." says Executive Director for Hub Dalila Huerta,
