Resurfacing project creates daily lane closures for South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – SR 23 (Sample Street) will have daily lane closures between Olive and Fellows Streets set to begin on May 7th, according to INDOT.

Traffic could be down to one lane in each direction until mid-June.

The resurfacing of the roads is a part of the $875,000 investment in South Bend. Upon completion, Olive Street to Michigan Street will be resurfaced.

Officials tell residents they should expect back-ups and avoid the area if possible.
