Return of the Bob Ross-inspired 5K event

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources announced the information details for the 2022 Bob Ross-inspired Happy Little (Virtual) 5K event that will take place in April.

This 5K event can be completed virtually from April 22 to April 29, giving runners, walkers and hikers an opportunity to complete the distance at their favorite outdoor location.

The virtual idea links the event’s inspiration back to Bob Ross’ admiration of the outdoors.

Registration is currently open at a cost of $34 a person. However, only 18,500 participants will be allowed to register.

Participants will each receive a t-shirt, a commemorative bib number and a finisher’s medal.
