Ribbon cutting announced for "Founders Circle"

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony November 10 at 3:30 p.m. for "Founders Circle" at Riverfront Park.

Mayor Dave Wood is pleased to report that “Founders Circle” at Robert C. Beutter Riverfront Park is now complete after nearly 20 years.

When the park was first designed and constructed in 2004, an area of the park was reserved for a future art installation which has remained unfinished until now.

In 2020 the city began work on an ornamental path, installing seating, and building the concrete and stone bases for the plaques to memorialize the early industrialists, politicians, and clergy that helped shape the areas early history.
