Right-to-work passes in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. -- The Michigan Senate passed the right-to-work legislation.

The state house passed the measure earlier in the date.

Republicans rushed the piece of legislation through the state h ouse as thousands protested outside.

Police officers even had to pepper spray demonstrators.

This new piece of legislation will prevent workers from having to join unions.

Michigan is now the 24th right-to-work state.
