Riverlights Music Festival kicks off Friday afternoon

The River Lights Music Festival kicks off Friday at 3 p.m. in Downtown South Bend along the St. Joseph River.

The concerts will be in the parking lot of the Emporium building at 121 Niles Avenue on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2.

Admission is free.

Parking Information:

Free public parking is available in designed on-street locations, as indicated by city signage, and in the parking garages located downtown after 4 pm. Free event parking provided by Tuesley Hall Konopa, LLP (E. Lasalle Avenue) and Crowe Horwath LLP (E. Jefferson Boulevard). In addition, public may park for free at St. Joseph High School and ride the Transpo Trivia Trolley route throughout downtown at no cost. Additional parking for Riverlights Music Festival is available in the AM General employee overflow parking lot (after 5:00 PM).

Street closures

• N. Niles Avenue will be closed from E. Jefferson Boulevard to Washington from noon until 11:00 p.m. (for the Riverlights Music Festival)
• E. Jefferson Boulevard will be closed from Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard to Hill Street from noon until 11:00 p.m. . (For First Fridays only)
• E. Colfax Avenue will be closed from Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard to N. Niles Avenue from 8:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. (For First Fridays only)
• W. Washington Street will be closed, from N Michigan Street to Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard, from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.  (For First Fridays only)
