Road Closure: Part of SR 39 in La Porte closed for bridge work

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- If you're driving through La Porte County for next couple of weeks, be prepared to take a detour.
State Road 39 between Severs Road and the Indiana Toll Road underpass will be closed as road crews work on the bridge.
Crews will use heavy machinery to blast off old paint and then repaint the bridge.
INDOT says that the work should be completed by July 27.
