Road closures begin Saturday morning for 2025 Blossomtime Grand Floral Parade

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety announced Benton Harbor and St. Joseph will host the 2025 Blossomtime Grand Floral Parade on Saturday, which will require several road closures in the area.

Officials say the parade begins at 1 p.m., but the closures will begin at 10 a.m., including all masted boat traffic using the Bicentennial Bridge.

Traffic entering St. Joseph from the north will be detoured west onto Port Street then south on Lake Boulevard.

Motorists wanting to travel south on M-63 will turn east onto Jones Street or continue south on Lake Boulevard for BL-94.

Traffic coming from the south into St. Joseph will be diverted at west on Jones Street and follow the same route in reverse.

Officials say the detours will remain until the end of the parade around 3:30 p.m.

No parking will be allowed along the following public streets from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. after the parade:

  • 500 through 1000 blocks of State Street.
  • 500 and 600 blocks of Market, Pearl, Park, Price and Jones Streets.
  • 700 through 1000 blocks of Court Street.
  • 700 and 800 blocks of Park, Price, Jones and Hoyt Street.
  • 1000 block of Church Street.
  • 700 through 1100 blocks of Pearl Street.

 Any vehicles parked in these areas during the above stated times will be ticketed or towed, officials said.
