Crews from Rieth Riley will begin to rehabilitate Jefferson Boulevard between Bittersweet Road and Ash Road starting Monday morning.
According to the St. Joseph County Department of Public Works, work to the road will include removing about 3 feet of the existing roadway and replacing the asphalt.
Shoulder work and general repair will take place as well.
The department says the construction will continue for approximately 2 weeks.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes or be patient as the work will cause traffic backups and delays.
The department acknowledges there will be times of inconvenience during this project and asks everyone to drive attentively and cautiously around construction areas.
