VIGO COUNTY, Ind. — Some local high school students are putting robotics skills to the test.
The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is hosting a regional competition this weekend.
Fifty teams from 7 states are participating, including Rochester High School.
This year, students have to launch Frisbees into a goal.
They had just six weeks to build their robots.
Organizers say it's a great way to bring future engineers together.
The free competition runs through Saturday. The top six teams will advance to the world finals later this month in St. Louis.
