Rollover accident causes mess on US-31

An early morning semi accident on US31 in Rochester caused a mess in the northbound lanes Wednesday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., a semi carrying a load of wood ran off the road. When the driver attempted to get back onto the road, the semi and trailer overturned causing the load to spill onto the road.

Four other vehicles were damaged when they struck the bundles of cut lumber in the road.

There were no injures.

The road was closed for several hours while the wood was cleaned up. There was also a fuel spill that had to be cleaned up.
