Romney, Obama invited to make campaign stops in South Bend

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- They are traveling all around the country to campaign for votes and now the presidential candidates have been invited to add South Bend to their list of stops.

Notre Dame's president and student body president have invited President Obama and Mitt Romney to speak at Notre Dame before the election In November.

It is a 60-year tradition for the University to invite the candidates and their running-mates to speak. Several candidates have accepted in the past, including Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
