ELKHART, Ind. – A ribbon-cutting event was held Monday at the new training facility for the RV Technical Institute on Monday.
The facility was built with the intention of addressing the skills gap and providing vocational training in the RV industry.
According to the Institute, Trained RV technicians will enable companies to optimize their repair times and improve the overall consumer experience.
The Institute also says that the training they provide opens the door to a variety of career options for skilled workers.
“It isn’t by happenstance that we picked Elkhart Indiana to set up our school,” Curt Hemmeler said, the Executive Director of the RV Technical Institute. “I mean, this is the RV capitol of the world.”
Visitors got to tour the facility on Monday, witnessing the training happen right before them.
In 2018, the RV industry accounted for $114 billion of the U.S. economy.
The RV Technical Institute estimates that they will prepare an estimated 15,000 technicians to enter the workforce in the first year alone.
If you’re interested in signing up for training, visit the RV Technical Institute’s website.
