Saint Joseph Public Schools announce resignation of Superintendent Bruce

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- The Saint Joseph Public Schools Board of Education announced the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Thomas Bruce.

His resignation is effective Friday.

In a meeting Thursday morning, the board named Assistant Superintendent Kelly Gaideski interim superintendent.

“We appreciate the time that Dr. Bruce was here and wish him nothing but the best,” said board President Barry Conybeare.

The Michigan Leadership Institute will assist the district in searching for a new superintendent.

The board expects to have a new superintendent by July 1, 2021.
