Saint Mary’s to begin random testing for COVID-19

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Saint Mary’s College will start randomly screening testing the general student population starting September 22nd for COVID-19.

60 students will be selected randomly per week.

Each Friday, students will be notified via email and text message that they have been selected for testing and will be asked to make an appointment with the Health and Counseling Center for a test the following week using Sign Up Genius.

The costs of the screen tests will be covered by Saint Mary’s.

Tests will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Students will be notified of their tests results within 24 hours.

Students who refuse to participate will be referred to Student Affairs and could face disciplinary actions, including dismissal.
