NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- It’s back to school for Saint Mary’s College students.
Sunday, they had a chance to move into their residence halls. The freshman class has more than 400 new students settling into campus.
Students from 32 different states and five countries are calling Michiana home for the school year.
Meanwhile, Saint Mary's students are already making big breakthroughs in the medical field this school year.
A research team developed a tool that finds counterfeit pain relievers.
It's called P.A.D. or Paper Analytical Device. Makers say it will be put to good use in developing countries.
Researchers estimate 10 to 30 percent of pain drugs are counterfeit abroad.
