Saint Mary's students spend the day without shoes

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Imagine spending a day with no shoes!
Some area college students did just that.
Tuesday was "One Day Without Shoes" on the Saint Mary's college campus.
The goal is to raise awareness, and show just how important a pair of shoes can be to a child.
"When you don't have shoes on, I was tip-toeing in the bathroom, and nervous and people will go their whole life without having any type of protection. That makes them so succespitiable to disease," said Hannah Hubb, the event organizer.
This is the first year students stripped off their shoes.
They hope to do it again next year.
