SB 150: The making of South Bend River Lights

Some called it the main event of South Bend 150. The river lit up Friday May 23.

ABC 57 got a look at how it all came about.

Rob Shakespeare has been doing architecture and design for 30 years. And he says this River Lights project is his biggest.

More than 200 lights illuminated the river walk and the water beside it. Several towers spanning more than 20 feet each will keep those lights up.

The city plans on those reflecting lights being a permanent addition to the east race.
