UPDATE: ICE identifies woman arrested at OC Mart
ABC57 UPDATE: Indiana State Police arrested 48-year-old Mou Khatthavong in the collaborative three-month long drug investigation.
Khatthavong is a criminal illegal alien from Laos who was convicted of battery resulting in serious bodily injury and sentenced to six years in prison.
She was ordered removed by a judge in 2009, and she failed to comply for over 15 years. She was turned over to ICE due to her current order of removal from the US.
Khatthavong first entered the US in February 1988 as a refugee.
She was convicted in March 2006 for battery resulting in serious bodily injury and sentenced to six years in prison.
An immigration judge ordered Khatthavong removed from the United States in April 2009.
ORGINAL: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police reports a search warrant was served Friday morning at the OC Mart as a result of a collaborative three-month long drug investigation with the South Bend Police Department and the DEA.
Police say the investigation pertained to the sale of cocaine and crack cocaine at the store located at 827 N. Olive St.
The report states one woman was taken into custody on a federal immigration warrant.
ISP says they aren't authorized to identify the woman, as that info would have to come from ICE.
