SBPD investigates shooting on 100 block of S. Meade Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A shooting that wounded two people around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, is being investigated by the South Bend Police Department.

The shooting occurred on the 100 block of S. Meade St. SBPD were called on the report of shots fired.

Officers arrived on scene and located a female victim with a gunshot wound. Authorities say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Upon further investigation, a second male victim was admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. 

Officers located several homes and vehicles damaged by gunfire. 

This is an active investigation by the South Bend Police Department.
