Scattered showers and fog before Christmas

NOW: Scattered showers and fog before Christmas

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Thursday, December 24, 2025

Mostly cloudy skies will remain for the rest of the day. Scattered, light rain showers are expected to arrive this evening—hopefully Santa will have his windshield wipers on! Temperatures will fall to the upper 30s overnight, and patchy fog will develop across Michiana—so Rudolph's red nose will definitely be necessary tonight.

Some showers could linger Thursday morning, but Christmas Day looks to be mainly dry. Widespread rainfall returns overnight into Friday. There is a possibility for freezing rain from some areas as temperatures get cooler. For those traveling back home for the holidays, especially from Central/Southern Michigan or Northwestern Ohio, slick roads could be a concern. However, most of Michiana will likely receive "regular" rain. Temperatures fall quickly going into next week—with highs in the 50s this weekend, then falling to the 20s to begin the last week of the year.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Fog developing overnight. Low 36.

Tomorrow (Christmas Day): Lingering AM rain, Mostly cloudy. High 46.

Friday: Scattered showers. High 48.

Saturday: Cloudy. High 50.
