School board approves five-year extension contract for superintendent

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Superintendent Dr. Theodore Stevens of the School City of Mishawka is set to stay another five years.

On Wednesday, the school board approved a five-year extension contract for Dr. Stevens, extending his tenure through June of 2030.

Dr. Stevens began as Superintendent for the School City of Mishawaka in 2022 but has prior ties to the district as a faculty member.

Dr. Stevens tells ABC57 the contract reflects the dynamic and trust he has built with the school board over the last few years, and his willingness to continue to proudly serve the community.

According to his contract, Dr. Stevens will be paid $180,000 for the 2025-26 school year, with a 2% raise each year following.
