School employee injured after getting trapped between buses

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A Monroe Primary Center employee was taken to the hospital after being trapped between two school buses Wednesday afternoon, according to South Bend Police.

Police were called to the school in the 300 block of Donmoyer around 4 p.m.

The driver of the first bus told police some papers fell while the students were loading. The driver believes the bus got bumped into neutral while picking up the papers.

The grade of the road caused the bus to roll into the second bus, behind it.

The pedestrian was at the door of the second bus helping students. The employee was then pinned between the buses.

The employee was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Students were examined by medics and none were injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
