Search for missing woman in St. Joe River suspended for evening

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Crews have suspended their search for 25-year-old Yolanda Anderson for the evening. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has been searching for Anderson for three days.

Early Tuesday morning Anderson went into the St. Joseph River for an unknown reason and was swept away.

Conservation officers searched all day Tuesday, Wednesday and most of Thursday.

Conservation officers are using side scan sonar and are conducting a surface search for Anderson. But they say there are so many variables they don't have a good idea where Anderson could have ended up.
