GRANGER, Ind. -- A man was arrested Tuesday morning after reports of him allegedly shooting into traffic in the 15000 block of S.R. 23.

According to St. Joseph County Police Department, reports of a man shooting into traffic around S.R. 23 and Fir Road came in around 7:14 a.m. Tuesday. Reports also note he was walking around in the roadway with a handgun.

When officers arrived, the man was no longer on the scene, and they began searching for him. The man was ultimately taken into custody without incident and is currently being questioned, according to the department.

There has been no official confirmation of the shooting, nor of any reported injuries.
