SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Cubs pitcher Tyler Peyton is the latest team member to move into St. Paul's retirement community.
Pitcher Wyatt Short moved into St. Paul's at the beginning of the season.
It’s part of the Silver Slugger program where the Minor League players get a place to live and Cubs fans within St Paul's can interact with the team.
Peyton says it’s the perfect place to stay.
"The support here just the couple of weeks I’ve been here has been phenomenal. Living here with a roommate like Wyatt has just been a great experience so far," said Peyton.
Petyon is from Iowa and says he's no stranger to the Midwest.
