Section of Colfax closed April 2-3 for work on Palais Royale

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A section of Colfax Avenue will be closed starting Sunday while a crane lifts HVAC equipment onto the roof of the Palais Royale.

The road will be closed between Michigan and Main streets until the end of the day on Monday, weather permitting.

During the closure, a detour route will direct traffic to Washington Street via Main and Michigan.

Pedestrian access to the area will be intermittently interrupted while the crane is moving the equipment.
