Section of State Road 19 to close near Nappanee for road work

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A section of State Road 19 will close starting on or after August 27 while crews resurface the road and replace a pipe in the area, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.
The closure will be in place between 900 N and U.S. 6. Crews will also be replacing a pipe between W 1350 N and Hepton Road.
The work is expected to be complete by mid-October, weather permitting.
The official detour will follow S.R. 19, U.S. 30, U.S. 331, and U.S. 6.
Please slow down and drive with caution around crews in work zones.
