Semi rollover leads to fuel spill
A semi rolled over in Elkhart and spilled diesel fuel and its load in the area of W. Franklin and S. Nappanee streets Wednesday afternoon.
A semi was traveling west on W. Franklin Street and was turning left onto S. Nappanee Street when his load of scrap metal shifted and the vehicle rolled onto its side, according to Elkhart Police.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
A portion of the load landed onto the sidewalk.
The semi spilled diesel fuel and oil onto the roadway, which has been contained.
Elkhart Police would like drivers to avoid the area while the accident scene is cleaned up.
