Severe storms cause damage across Michiana

Severe weather rampaged Indiana on Friday, prompting tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings throughout the afternoon. 

The first storm report came in around 12:40 PM, and the rest followed until around 3 PM. The first report to come in was in Michigan City where a tree fell on a car, critically injuring one person. Around 2:30 PM, several reports of downed trees, power poles and barn damage came in from Marshall and Kosciusko counties.

Bourbon, 2:05 PM - Tree down across road.

Etna Green, 2:06 PM - Tree limbs down, barn damage, grain bin damaged, corn flattened.

Nappanee, 2:15 PM - Barn and roof damage.

Clunette, 2:35 PM - 3 power poles snapped and transformer down.

Beaver Dam Lake, 2:36 PM - Several trees down.
