Many in Michiana woke up to damage from a complex of severe storms that made its way through Michiana Friday overnight into early Saturday morning.

The greatest concerns were flooding, straight-line wind damage, and heavy downpours, all of which were reported several times across Michiana with a higher concentration in St. Joseph [IN] and La Porte counties.
Multiple trees in varying length from 10-20 ft. were found knocked down by wind with some landing on garages and houses.
Excessive rainfall across Michiana accelerated the flooding across portions of some counties, with some areas receiving almost five inches of rain.
New Carlisle, South Bend, North Liberty, and Mishawaka all reported downed trees and/or flooding, but damage was not exclusive to these cities.
The Hometown Days festival in New Carlisle saw most of its tents and the contents within them blown away by the wind.
Thousands are still without power as well, although crews are working to get services fully restored.
