Sexual abuse programs to start in preschool

Ill. -- Illinois' governor Pat Quinn signed a bill into law yesterday to empower young victims of abuse.

It's called "Erin's Law".

The law aims to educate pre-kindergarten students about sexual assault and sexual abuse. The woman who inspired the bill was there for the signing.

"My innocence was killed, my trust was taken, but I reclaimed my voice and I want every victim to do the same," said Erin Merryn, who inspired the law.

Law makers, victims, and their families hope the age-appropriate education about sexual abuse will help stop abuse sooner and let victims know it's okay to tell someone.
