Sheriff’s Office: 1-year-old child tested positive for amphetamines

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a child who tested positive for amphetamines, according to police logs.

Reports say that on August 15, at 6:15 a.m., police received a report that a 1-year-old child tested positive for amphetamines.

The child did not have a prescription for the amphetamines, records show.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Child Services is investigating the incident.
