The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Comfort Suites on CR24. The robbery happened at approximately 12:36 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say the suspect entered the hotel, showed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early thirties. He was wearing a ski mask, tan and blue jacket and a backpack.

He left the hotel with an undisclosed amount of cash.
