KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to a property at 375 N. 950 W. in Etna Green in Harrison Township on Thursday around 5 p.m., regarding an unresponsive man in a ditch suffering from a medical emergency.
The report states emergency personnel arrived at the scene and determined the man was dead.
The man was identified as 64-year-old Kosciusko County Councilman Michael W. Long.
Deputies say the preliminary investigation showed Long was checking fields on property owned by the Long family.
He was found near a ditch-line where evidence indicates Long accidentally drowned.
Long was pronounced dead by the Kosciusko County Coroner.
KCSO is currently conducting a death investigation at the property.
