Sheriff's office investigating reports of animal cruelty

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating reports of animal cruelty after several horses and dogs were shot over a 5-6 week period of time.

The shootings happened in the 66000 block of Kessington Road.

The investigation revealed one or more people shot several horses and dogs over the course of five to six weeks.

The sheriff's office is being assisted in the investigation b y Cass County Animal Control.
