Shooting in South Bend leaves one injured

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department was called to the 2300 block of Elwood Avenue Thursday evening for reports of shots fired.

According to police, officers were called to the scene around 8:45 p.m. where they found one person shot.

That person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The South Bend Police Shooting Response Team has taken over this ongoing investigation.
