Shooting leaves two injured in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that left two people injured early Thursday morning. 

Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Brittany Court, after receiving a call of hearing gunfire shortly before 2 a.m.

When officials arrived, they were told that there were two adult male victims, and both arrived at Elkhart General Hospital. 

Police said one of the victims has since been transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend and remains in critical condition. The second victim was treated at Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
