Black Friday shopping in a pandemic

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, and like everything else this year, it will be different. Leaving many customers wondering what the shopping experience will look like for the busiest shopping days.

Typically, on Black Friday, we see huge crowds, people shoving and rushing to get the best deals, and while that would now be considered dangerous during the pandemic, stores like Menards want to make the shopping experience safe for customers.

To ensure customer's safety, shoppers need to wear a face mask inside the store, there will be markings on the ground near the checkout, and staff members will wipe down high touch areas every hour.

One local shopper tells ABC57 despite the changes, she thinks this year's Black Friday has still been a great experience.
