Signs of spring, but not quite finished with snow
Temperatures did make it above freezing Thursday, but the afternoon perma-cloud prevented highs from getting above the mid-30s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s. Friday will be mostly sunny, breezy and much warmer with highs soaring into the middle 50s.
This warm-up is a one-day-only scenario, however, as multiple snow chances await us this weekend. The first arrives Saturday afternoon and evening. Temperatures should be above freezing as snow begins to fall, so it's doubtful that this round of snow showers will have much impact. This first round of snow will end Saturday night. Some very minor snow accumulation is possible by Sunday morning.
The second potential round of snow is also looking somewhat uncertain as well. The latest forecast models have been pulling the storm track farther south. The areas with the best shot at seeing a few more inches of snow Sunday night into Monday morning are spots south of US 30. We hopefully will get a better handle of things once the short-range models come into frame Friday.
