Silver alert for Portage man cancelled

Update: As of 1:50 a.m. Monday, the alert has been canceled by the Portage Police Department. No further information has been released.

The Portage Police Department is investigating the disappearance of an adult from Portage, Indiana.

Police say 80-year-old Frank Komenda was last seen at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 6th in Portage and is believed to be in danger.

He may be disoriented and require medical attention, according to police.

Komenda was last seen wearing a brown “Carhartt” jacket with a hood, a black stocking cap and jeans.

He is described as a white male, 5’ 11” and about 220 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.

He is believed to be driving a turquoise 1995 Ford F-150 vehicle, with a matching canopy. The vehicle has an Indiana plate of SYI205.
